Samsung is expected to release a new Galaxy Z Fold 6 later this year. Having said that, some people may not like how the new phone looks because it may differ significantly from previous models.

We believe that the image only displays a small portion of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, making it difficult to fully understand what Samsung could be working on. However, the broader appearance appears to support yet another notion regarding the impending foldable: that it would feature a cover display with a larger aspect ratio, similar to competitor phones like the Google Pixel Fold and OnePlus Open.

Despite the Galaxy Z Fold\’s many positive features, some have voiced disapproval of the cover display due to its narrower width than those of previous folding screens. That makes it difficult to text and take notes on the main screen. On the other hand, you have more workspace with the OnePlus Open and Pixel Fold, so you don\’t need to open them as frequently to get things done.

A broader cover display is rumored to be one of the most significant enhancements to the Galaxy Z Fold this year, but there are other rumors regarding the Z Fold 6. Many of the Galaxy AI features that Samsung delivers in the Galaxy S24 will most likely be present in the phone. According to recent rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will solely employ the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 engine, which should increase speed and battery life.

The most anticipated date for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is July 10, also the date of this summer\’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Although that would be Samsung\’s earlier-than-normal foldable phone release, the company appears to be leaning toward early launches this year as the Galaxy S24 was released in January.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors

There aren\’t many color options for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, so if you have decided to pay a lot of money for a flagship foldable, your options are a bit limited. Thus far, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may share similar characteristics.

We have heard some leaks on the potential colors of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, including one source that explicitly states there will only be three Galaxy Z Fold 6 shades, even though none of the colors have been officially verified yet.

This would essentially be comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, with the addition of two additional colors that are only available on Samsung.com, for a total of five. We hope that this year will see it happen again, and five possibilities—all of which you can find below—have indeed leaked.

Ross Young also mentioned the color Silver Shadow. Although silver is a sophisticated, traditional, and timeless color, Samsung hasn\’t included it in their Z Fold lineup since the Phantom Silver Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is shown above.

The moniker \’Shadow\’, however, implies that it would likely be darker than that, possibly reaching a gray similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in Gray, which you can also see above.

Another rumored color for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is Crafted Black, according to Ross Young. However, according to what he says, the color will probably only be available at Samsung stores.

Regarding appearance, leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 from SmartPrix and the highly reliable leaker @OnLeaks depict the device as being black, as you can see above.

Since black is such a popular shade for smartphones and a color that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is also available in, it seems like a natural choice.

Finally, Young says there will be a White option; but, based on the sounds of things, this may also be a Samsung.com exclusive.

White is a highly sought-after shade for smartphones, therefore success is certain. Although the precise shade of white is unknown, it may resemble the above-mentioned Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Beige.

There might not be any more colors since the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes in five colors, and five of those colors have leaked for the Z Fold 6. However, it\’s possible that some of these are incorrect or that there will be more this year.

If so, this phone will probably adopt some of the colour schemes from the Z Fold 5, which include Phantom Black, Cream, Grey, Blue, and Icy Blue. We wouldn\’t anticipate the arrival of a regular Blue, as Phantom Black and a Dark Blue are already rumoured. It might be argued that Cream is closer to White, and Grey is somewhat too similar to the suspected Silver Shadow tint.

That means your only remaining option is Icy Blue. Naturally, there\’s a good probability that this year\’s five colours won\’t exist or that they will be replaced by an entirely other shade. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to launch in July, so that\’s when we\’ll probably find out for sure.
